Academic:

High School Diploma or GED required.  Achievement of test score of 70% on Mechanical Skills Test and Mechanical Aptitude Test required. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in the English language required. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals required.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs required. Manufacturing Skills Standard Council certification preferred.

For MECHANIC 2 Candidates: 18 months an FNG Mechanic 1 or two to five years industrial maintenance experience required.  Welding skills required. Obtaining and maintaining FNG Forklift Operator License required. 

For MECHANIC 3 Candidates: Eligibility for promotion form Mechanic 2 to Mechanic 3 will be considered after 18 months FNG employment as Mechanic 2. Two to five years industrial maintenance experience required.  Welding skills related to Mig, Tig, Heliarc, and Sanitary Purge welding required.  Obtaining and maintaining FNG Forklift Operator License required.

Qualifications:

This employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. This employee would occasionally be required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.  This employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  This employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to master basic computer skills such as opening, reading, creating, and sending e-mail and e-mail attachments created in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.  Must continually demonstrate self motivation, a winning attitude, teamwork, adherence to the Company's Core Values and leadership appropriate for the position, or for the work situation.

Job Functions:

Be consistently at work and on time. Ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent. Meet commitments or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan. Complete work in a timely manner. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in all areas appropriate for the position.This position is responsible for the Mechanical Maintenance in Fruit Receiving, Fruit Processing, Finishing, Scholle, Concentrate Tank Farm, Aseptic Tank Farm, Pulp Packaging, Feed Mill, Evaporators, Debinning, Debittering, Barrel Room, Tanker Loading and in other areas as business need require.  Work rotating shifts if needed. Work additional hours and work with little supervision if needed.  Participate in training and develop electrical skills resulting in the performance of simple electrical tasks up to and including 480V. Working on conveyer systems, inline fillers, valves, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc. is required. Responsibilities also include participating in future training sessions to support new and existing equipment as part of productions support as the business needs require.

Perform any other duties assigned. 

Compensation: $17.41 - $20.51 per hour
