Gardening Tips from Our Growers

Here's your chance to learn from the best citrus growers in the world! Our growers have years and years of farming experience. Here's a few of the techniques they recommend:

Try New Things

Innovation is important — our growers caution against doing the same things year after year. Each year in your garden, along with your longtime favorites, plant some different varieties and add some plants you have never tried before. You will have fun with the plants that grow well and learn what not to do from the ones that fail!

Talk With Others

Our growers have found that talking with their fellow growers helps generate ideas and solve problems. This year, join a local gardening group, take some classes at a local gardening store, or start up a conversation with your neighbor down the street who always has the best roses. You'll learn some great techniques and have a lot of fun, too.

Get the Kids Involved

Our growers get their children involved in helping out in the groves. Go ahead and ask your children to help out with your garden this weekend. It's great to have more hands to share in the weeding, watering, and planting. More importantly, it allows your kids to learn about the earth and get some exercise.

Roll with the Punches

Our growers have gone through good times and hard times and they've learned to roll with the punches. If you're having trouble with your garden this year, keep in mind that next year will be different–most likely, it will be better. Just remember — keep on planting, even after hard times!
