Orange Crystallized Ginger Baked Fish
This is a terrific low cal recipe using OJ & ginger
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. Florida's Natural® Brand orange juice
- 1 piece fresh fish - flounder, cod or similiar
- 1/4 cup crystallized ginger (found at health food stores or bigger grocery stores.)
- 1 tbsp. orange marmalade or jam
- Pinch of five spices or oriental blend spices
- 1 small clove crushed garlic
Instructions
Step One
Take all the ingredients and mix in bowl. Thin or thicken, to taste. Transfer half of mixture into shallow glass rectangular baking dish or casserole dish. Save half for later in recipe.
Step Two
Lay fish flat over the sauce. Baste with pastry brush lightly. Pour remainder of liquid ingredients over fish. Cover with foil or casserole top.
Step Three
Bake at 350 F degrees for about 12 minutes (depends on the thickness and size of fish; better to underbake it, then add a few more minutes and overcook it).
Serve with wild rice pilaf, and steamed broccoli.
